Codes ending in C are Pantone Solid Coated; 00-0000 codes are Pantone Fashion, Home + Interiors (TCX). Hex values approximate Pantone’s published sRGB and are meant for screen work; check a physical guide or Pantone Connect before print. The first 62 Modern palettes were paired by hand. The rest were built by rules: the pop reaches at least 3:1 contrast on the base and sits at least 40° away on the color wheel, the complement is readable on the base without out-shouting the pop, no base/pop pairing appears twice, and no base (or group of look-alike bases) is used more than its share. The ratio under each palette is WCAG contrast of pop on base: AA at 4.5:1 for body text, AA large at 3:1 for headings and buttons.
